FOUR Important Factors in Helping to
Treat Acne
Acne affects many people for many similar reasons but
that does not mean the same treatment will work for all patients.
People are very different in their physical and mental
make up, and individuals may respond to several or just one acne
treatment. This is one of the most important things to know about treating
acne and prevents the sufferer from trying and failing with many different
methods and ultimately thinking nothing will cure his or her acne.
In reality, although some methods may fail, the
sufferer should take this as a positive sign because that person is now
one step closer to finding the perfect cure for their own skin problem.
That said, however, some important rules about treating acne apply to
every sufferer, and they are:
* It can take time to find the treatment that suits you best and that
means being patient and being prepared to work your way through whatever
treatments your medical and skin care advisors recommend.
* Do not take advice about treating acne from non-qualified individuals,
especially not people making money from selling acne treatments but
lacking medical skills and qualifications to support
their claims. Your pharmacist and doctor are the only people you
should take advice from.
* Advertisements for acne treatments present major concerns for qualified
health and skin care professionals who understand that sufferers are very
different in how their acne should be treated and how they might respond
to certain treatments. Advertisements, however, target mass markets and
rarely, if ever, take individuals or their skin types into account.
* Do not take invasive action like popping acne spots and pimples, or
using exfoliating sponges and even laying sticky tape across the skin and
swiping it free to remove spots and dry flaky skin. All can seriously
damage a healthy skin and can create major problems for damaged
complexions.
Avoid all these problem causing techniques and ask your doctor or
pharmacist for help immediately you have a skin problem or any other
health concern.
